Between the Mountains and the Sea

Design

Casa da Serra was built to be lived, in a comfortable and intense way, with a touch of charm and refinement. We like to enjoy good design and it is why this house is decorated with objects that are part of the stories of our travels. Throughout this house you will find details of decoration brought from the five continents, from furniture handcrafted in Morocco, to paintings brought from Thailand, among others. In addition, you will find a unique design environment, thought for your comfort and well-being, planned to surprise you in every detail.

Environment

Casa da Serra was built to fit with the naturalness of the Natural Park of Serra d'Aire e Candeeiros. To achieve this end, we used local materials. From wood to stone, through landscape architecture and by the very framework of the house: it all makes sense. The house was built using an existing quarry in the land itself. More than two tons of stone were used in its edification. We used two local craftsmen to work the stone called "vidraço" which gives incredible thermic and aesthetic features to this building. It took more than five years of craft work to reach this final result.

Rooms

With only three bedrooms, each with a distinctive name as tribute to the mountain that welcomes us, we have the Serra D'Aire Junior Suite, the Serra dos Candeeiros Junior Suite and Serra de Santo António Master Suite. We planned each of the Casa da Serra rooms to be a heaven of tranquility, comfort and design. Each room has its own personality and is designed with different motives. The junior suites have a mezzanine (which allows a capacity of four people per room) and the Master suite has a king size bed, a luxury worthy of that name.

Comfort

It was thinking about comfort that we designed the Casa da Serra. From the moment of arrival, to the time of the departure, we want you to enjoy all our facilities. With warm environment throughout the house for the cold days of winter or the long meals on the porch after swimming in the pool during the summer, or inside the house where the stone "vidraço" ensures a unique freshness.

Events

At Casa da Serra, we provide the Berlengas Room for events. From your birthday party, to a corporate presentation, with customers, employees or friends, celebrating something in this space becomes a unique and unforgettable moment. This room has seats for up to 50 people and is decorated to provide all the glamour and refinement to your event.
